make a path

david thought it would be fun a while ago to make a rope path for pace to follow around the house.  the other day pace woke up from his nap and asked if i would make a rope path for him.  right when i was thinking, "this would be a good home evening lesson in a few years with the whole lehi's dream thing!", pace said, "mom, this is like in the scriptures!"  pace's favorite scripture picture we talk about at night is the lehi's dream.  pace loves looking at the painting and talking about all the different things going on--the rod, which people have let go of it and are now "in dark-en-ness", the ones who are still holding on, the tree, and what the people are doing around the tree, the building, etc.  pace was very proud of himself that he went from one end to the other without letting go!

One of the most important metaphors in scripture, if not THE most important.
