trout lake

while david and his mom were busy on the bear tooth highway, papa, the boys and i decided to hike to trout lake.  it is a really steep trail, but totally worth the quiet lake--and it isn't that long; it's a "pace-size hike"!  we even met someone at the top to take our picture!

after the hike pace decided i needed a germ detox.  papa and ninny gave some very fun gifts to the boys--pace very quickly turned this abc etch-a-sketch into a germ extractor.  he hooked up the stylus into the button in my pants, then made sucking noises and drew the germs appearing on the screen (not unlike an ultrasound), then said, "see mom, here's your germs.  now i have to clean your blood and put it back in."  he then moved the "abc eraser" across the board, erased the germs, and voila!  i was ready to go on with my day--fully detoxed and germ-free!

if i ever wondered where max was, all i had to do was look for papa.  max wanted nothing more than to be by his side, eat pancakes off his plate, and rock in the rocking chair with his papa!

in this game, max would pick up a rock, look at the color under the light, shout out the color, then hand it to papa.  on to the next rock!
