final walkthrough tentative date: 5/29...

...which means we'll likely close the first week of june.  we are so lucky that we have a landlady who is very flexible and is more than happy to keep us around at a prorated rent rate!

we have paint!  and stain!  and tile!  front entrance/great room.  we are in love with the warm brown flooring and the light yellow walls.

pace loved playing on his dirt pile.  this time he played "landslide".  he'd push dirt down , and once it looked like a good enough landslide, he'd hop on for the ride.  the first time he slid down, and grinned from ear to ear at the bottom and said, "wasn't that terrific?!"

a couple more funny pace-isms, before i forget:
his friends had their cousins come visit this week.  the seven of them had so much fun running around outside together for a couple days.  as they were leaving the other day, pace ran outside and said, "bye, friends!  bye, cousins!  bon voyage!"  not sure where the bon voyage came from, but boy did it make me laugh!  pace also says it to david as he's leaving for work, or leaving after taking lunch break at home.
pace loves playing "tsunami/tornado" with his blue blanket.  he spins it around and around, tornado-like, destroying everything in its path--sometimes it's a tornado, sometimes it's a tsunami.  either way, max hates it.  pace invades max's space and knocks over things max is playing with.  once, after max's pterodactyl screeches, i told pace to stop being a tsunami on max's things, that max's screeches mean no and stop.  pace looked back at me very indignantly and said, "no, mom.  "sue-wamees" go everywhere.  they go over toys, in the bathroom, in my room, everywhere."  this kid is so logical and literal and so smart--it was hard to argue with that.
