thanksgiving!

heather and i hit the road again for a 10k on thanksgiving morning!  we thought going from a 5k to a half marathon in 7 weeks would be a bit much, but a 10k would be very doable.  we finished at 57.47, hitting our goal of running sub-60 minutes...and promptly looked at each other at the finish line and said, "that sucked!"  we normally run a 10-10.15 minute mile, and this race we kicked it up and ran a 9.45 mile the whole time!  now, 9.45 is a pretty slow mile as far as runners go, but look at it this way:  heather just started running with me this year, in september!  we went from a 5k to a 10k in 7 weeks!  we shaved an entire mile time off our total time!  that was awesome!

we had a number of friends invite us to their family get-togethers, but we decided this was our last free day to relax and totally destress before peak started for david.  so...we hit up chuck-a-rama!  it was great!  there was a line out the door, but it moved pretty quickly, and it wasn't too long before we were all enjoying our favorite plates!  the rest of the day:  relax!
