on saturday ups had their annual health and safety fair at the plant. david was in charge of organizing the 5k run as he is the "wellness champion". only 4 people showed up to run; his goal was to have 5...and no drivers other than himself. this year was the first year doing it, though, so maybe next year will have a better turn out.
pace loved sitting in a truck that looked just like dada's--he pointed at all the trucks in the center saying, "dada! dada!" over and over. i love how little pace looks sitting in all these trucks! they also had a fire truck and ambulance there, with a few emt's, and a police car with a dog. pace *loved* sitting in the fire truck, and was super excited about petting the dog. he wasn't so sure about the attack suit they had him try on, though! they didn't have the dog attack anyone in the suit, they just had it there for kids to try on. in fact, they put the dog in the car before letting anyone try on the coat, just so the dog wouldn't get mixed signals. all in all, a very exciting afternoon!
