Mineral Day!

David took the boys way out in the middle of nowhere somewhere west of here to Topaz Mountain to hunt for Topaz, and then drive a few hundred more miles to hunt for geodes! The boys were so excited! David really built it up and we kept Mineral Day as a reminder for Pace to keep doing Upstart during the week so he wouldn't have to do it on Saturday and they could take off first thing. It was a long day, but they came back happy and with buckets full of geodes. They washed them and cracked them open the next day after church.
