this was the christmas of penguins and space stations/satellites. pace gets fixed on something, and max follows suit. they had so much fun opening life-size penguins from papa and ninnie, penguins in their stockings, penguin movies/documentaries, and space stations/rockets/space ships galore. i think this was the funnest christmas yet, at 3 and 5, they both knew what was going on and were so excited. we have never spoken of suntan our home, but the boys amazingly know all about santa: who he is, what he does for a living, how he'll visit, what he'll bring, etc. we've kind of rolled with it, i guess, to my chagrin. i think its pretty hilarious--we'll be out running errands and pace will ask if he can get something. a few times i've said yes, but that i'll put it in his stocking and he'll have to wait for christmas to open it. he would agree, and as soon as we got home, i'd throw it in their stockings. on christmas morning, pace woke up and came down saying, "look! santa came!" and everything he opened, whether it was something we got at the store he knew about, or something new, he'd say, "look what santa brought!"
the photos downloaded chronologically backwards and i'm not going to take the time to rearrange them...
