max is growing up! he's always been a solid little boy, and he's finally strong enough to stand his little chunk up in the jumper swing! he doesn't quite get the jumping yet, and gets a little frustrated when the toys won't leave his tight little grasp, but give him another month and i'm sure he'll be jumping and squealing with glee just like pace did. max usually wears a very concerned look on his face; it's rare to catch a smile unless you are directly interacting with him, cooing or jabbering or tickling, then you get a huge double-dimpled grin.
and we all know how serious pace is. i had max lying on a blanket and pace was trying to get him to smile by sharing his "hop hop" (frog) with max. very serious business. pace is getting to be so verbal--it is so much fun to hear what comes out of his mouth! he especially loves singing--i think he was doing the abc's in the next few shots.
