my boys are early birds. when pace was a baby he was in bed by 7pm and up for the day at 530am. we've gradually moved that back to 6, and now 7, although i think pace really wakes up still at 6am, and just lays in bed quietly reviewing what he learned the day before. max is no different. he's in bed by 7--and if we aren't doing his bedtime routine and getting him in bed at 7 on the dot, he starts to throw a fit...not a very flexible one, is he?--and lately he's been getting up between 1230-130 to eat, then 330, then 430 gets a little fussy although i can usually rewrap him and give him a binkie, and then he's up for the day at 530am. he'll take a quick nap between 630-7, and then on with the activities!
pace has always stayed in bed, waiting for us to come and get him in the morning, but starting last week he is beginning to be a bit more adventurous. he'll get out of bed and wander around after we put him down for the night, or when it's nap time, and i've ended up putting him in the crib on a number of occasions. one morning last week he ran into our room when he heard us up for the day and wanted to see max. i layed both boys on the bed for a little pj photo shoot. i love this first photo--now i see the resemblance in my two boys! max is a little rounder, and has chubbier cheeks, but they have the same wide, unblinking stare with those big, brown eyes! pace thinks it's the funniest thing in the world when max reaches out for his and touches him. what makes that funny is that max doesn't really control what he's doing yet. pace ended up holding max's hand in these photos, and it is so, so dear!
