phone dump...
we got this photo in the mail a while ago and i finally scanned it in: the boys and i went to the dentist in january and our office took a photo of them
pace, playing photographer on a run. we passed a bucket lift truck this day, a man was trimming the trees. the boys love waving at their shadows.
the quiet books i made are finally getting some use, even if not in church...max discovered the finger puppets and we were playing one thursday while pace was at school.
more outside time...max and emery love playing vacuum tube telephone...
pace loves helping in the kitchen, and wants to make his own sandwiches for breakfast. he was spreading mayonnaise on his sandwich and it made me laugh out loud, "mommy! this is like the workers using finishing tools on sidewalks!" on another run we had passed workers making a new sidewalk, and smoothing the poured concrete.
lollipop extravaganza. the boys really just loved opening one, tasting it, then picking a new flavor. i don't think they finished a single lollipop on their own. i left these out on the plate in hopes they would finish them...when tj and emery came up to play one day, i found a pile of lollipop sticks at tj's feet...he had polished off all the -already-been-licked lollipops!
fun easter box from papa and ninnie! i told the boys they could either eat all the little chocolate carrots that day, or save them, but that was all the easter treats they were getting, so think about it...they decided to eat them all up within the hour.
pace is talking about houses/families in school this month. he drew our 4-plex apartment: our door on the upper left, the stairs, and tj and emery's door on the bottom right of the stair. he also included a chimney, not sure where that came from, as we don't have a chimney. we were also having some windy weather blowing in a cold front, and pace was very concerned about "all the storms coming close to us". we had to check the radar online daily, and even though the forecast said rain would hit 2 days away, pace demanded we close all the windows, blinds, curtains, and stay inside, safe from the storms, that "according to the radar, are coming close". pace is also getting better at writing his first AND last name!
before i forget: max is talking so much, too! he's putting fun verbs together, "mommy, i am put this here." "i am eat this." "i doing it!" another fun max fact: this kid loves sprinkles. we eat oatmeal pretty frequently for breakfast (it's either that or pancakes and smoothies!), and we always top the boy's oatmeal with sprinkles at their request. thanks to ninnie, we have a basket full of sprinkle options! max's preferred method of eating is to eat the top layer of oatmeal with sprinkles, then run and find me, carrying the sprinkle basket and say, "mommy, i am want blue", and then i sprinkle another layer of requested sprinkles on his oatmeal, he'll eat just that layer, then ask for another color/shape sprinkle, then eat that layer, and so on. by the end i'll bet he's eaten more sprinkles than oatmeal, and his leftover oatmeal milk is a mixture of brownish-purplish leftover sprinkle colored milk.
