i made my in-laws work for thanksgiving dinner

tuesday: cobblestone landing and raising that brick 1/2 stair

flagstoning the stairs that were built and leveled and ready to go

building the final three stairs--this actually took longer than you'd think.  each brick needed to be leveled three ways, front, back, side, and then do that with 6 bricks total for a stair.

after everyone went to bed, david and i came back out to finish laying flagstone.  a neighbor came over monday and tuesday nights to help us--showing pu at 9pm on tuesday!  we were so touched by his help.  the following photos were taken wednesday morning--sunny, balmy, about 50 or 55.  i was seriously debating just polysanding the walkway and stairs right then and there.  there was a winter weather warning, and the reports were saying it would hit that afternoon.  sure enough, rain and cold weather moved in.  so it was another week or so until i could finally polysand the remaining walkway and stairs.
