HooDoo 300

Here's a photo documentary of David's HooDoo 300 race.   David had his Dad and two friends, Bryce, and Brandon, crew for him.  Good thing Bob just got a new truck--it was the perfect crew vehicle!  Brandon got a lot of great photos of David out on the course.  He finished 300 very hard terrain miles under 24 hours, finishing ________, placing first in his Clydesdale category, and setting the Clydesdale course record!  Legs of steel!

There was a 500 mile and 300 mile course.  David did the 300 mile solo, which cut across at the red line on the map.

This was at the top of Cedar Breaks, what David thought would be the hardest climb.  He requested I make a "Cedar Breaks Box" for him--a celebratory box full of goodies and things.  I put in a bunch of treats, party favors, and energy drinks for everyone.  The course map was a little deceptive--David thought it'd be pretty much downhill from Cedar Breaks to the finish line in St. George, but the course ended up having a few more climbs after Cedar Breaks...and they were difficult, as they were at the end of the course and your body is pretty shot from no sleep, climbs, and 250+ miles already in your legs.  But he pushed through and did it!
