we've been having crazy weather--warm and sunny in the mornings, and then huge storms blow in during the afternoon, then sunny again, then more storms. these pictures are the same day as our field trip day--it was getting windy while we were watching the demolition, and within thirty minutes, a huge storm with wind and rain blew in. pace grabbed his weather radar to "measure the storm".
we also decided to make cookies. i have no idea what i do wrong, but i am not a cookie maker. i have tried i don't know how many recipes, and tried every variation as to why cookies don't turn out, and are flatter than pancakes--eggs that are too large, melted butter vs. room temperature butter, creaming butter and sugars too long or not long enough, oven temperature, etc. etc. etc. these are the same batch of cookies, and on the very same cookie sheet, three turned out like normal cookies, and the rest were the flatter-than-pancake-crispy-thin variety. grrrr....
